Animal Assisted Therapy

What are the advantages of our Animal Assisted Therapy?

Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) provides patients with the benefits of one-to-one intervention with friendly animals. We use different types of animals such as dwarf rabbits, goats, miniature donkeys and a miniature Galloway Cow. We are members of the Australian Network for the Development of Animal Assisted Therapies (ANDAAT).

About our Animal Assisted Therapy Program

Animal Assisted Therapy activities can include:

  • cuddle and feed animals
  • ride on a donkey

We plan to open for the public in August 2015. Clients need to book your AAT program in advance.

Tabasco and Tambo, our Miniature Donkeys are part of our animal team. We hope to make many kids happy at the paddock.

Volunteers wanted with experience in AAT

Animal assisted therapy is a counseling technique wherein patients interact with animals to improve their mental, social and even physical well-being. Unfortunately no single association or organization oversees the certification process for professionals working in the field of animal assisted therapy.
