Mission for animals

Surrounded by farm lands, Parrot Garden provides shelter to native, farm and exotic animals.

At the heart of our mission is rescuing, rehabilitating and caring for animals – as well as educating the public about our work.

Our charity mission is:

  • to work in partnership with wildlife rescue organizations
  • to create and rebuild natural habitats and shelters
  • to give native animals  such as birds, reptiles and mammals a forever home if they are unable to be in the wild again
  • to rescue farm animals from those who would use them for food,
  • to give visitors and volunteers the opportunity to learn more about animals,
  • to understand the animal agriculture industry procedures which still relies on crucial practices such as the removal of children from mothers,
  • to give you the opportunity to eat healthy vegetarian meals to support us funding the cost for our rescue animals.

Please determine for your self whether farm animals are friends, or food.

You are welcome to meet parrots, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, turkey donkeys, cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, sheep, goats and other animals who have been rescued or donated to us.

We are a place where visitors can come face to face with the friendly animals. Here you can watch parrots in big aviaries, see different reptiles, play with goats in a large open paddock, sit down with a miniature pig who wants nothing more than a belly rub, cuddle with rabbits and feed chickens who seek out your attention or get nuzzled by some very friendly miniature donkeys!
