Tent Accommodation

Volonteer Accommodation

Advantages

  • You are independent.
  • Wake up with the bird songs.
  • You can camp on different places such as the hill to enjoy the scenery.
  • You can move away with your tent from all the kids and animal noise 🙂

Disadvantages

  • It can be a little bit. cold in winter. Don’t forget to bring your sleeping bag!
  • Can be wet in the rainy weather. Make sure to camp where you have some cover!

Room in the Parrot Garden Cafe

Volonteer Accommodation

Requirements

  • You need to work as managing volunteer and driver.
  • You need to have a driving licence and be over 25 years old

Advantages

  • You have privacy.

Disadvantage

  • You are in charge of the cleanliness of the commercial kitchen and bathroom. This means you need to tell other volunteers if they are not able to clean after themselves.

Room in the Care Taker House

Volonteer Accommodation

Requirements

  • You need to be able to cope with kids, animals, noice eg.
  • You should be very patient.
  • You are responsible for nursing baby animals even in the night. You may have for example rescue rabbits in your room or a lamb for bottle feeding.
  • You need to be able to maintain a strict hygiene.

Advantages

  • You have a shared room with another volunteer.
  • You have your own cupboard.
  • You experience Australian farm life, wake up with sunrise and go to bed with sunset.
  • You will be able to learn different animal husbandry skills during your stay.

Disadvantage

  • You are in charge of the cleanliness of the care taker kitchen and bathroom and your room.
  • The kids or family dogs will wake you up before sunrise.
  • You have no privacy.
